If you have been following my blog, by now you’re familiar with my background – born Canadian with a Pakistani background. I visit Pakistan every now and then to spend the holidays with family and attend some close relatives wedding. This time, I did not have only my brother’s events lined up, my cousin was getting married just before him. This is the outfit I wore to his wedding day – the traditional, white and red. This outfit was a gift from my brother’s in-laws to me last year, but it was paired with a different bottom and dupatta. I made a few changes of my own, yes, quite the usual off me. I got red cigarette pants as the bottom with the same colored duppata which added a little more drama to the look. The neckline of this shirt was a lot more on the old style, hence, I got it turned into a big round shape so I can wear my mom’s jewelry. Lastly, I got the length of the shirt shortened, keeping up to date with the latest trend. Honestly, outfit prices back home are shooting significantly, why not alter the old pieces and add them as new outfits to our wardrobe.
Hope you enjoyed my styling/designing tips and tricks.
