Of Celebrations & Traditions – Tea Pink Tunic and 90’s Flared Pants

written by Marina September 13, 2016

Hello beloved readers,

Eid is here! It is the season of shamelessly flaunting your pretty outfits and bringing out your true desi elements. Though I am always slightly nostalgic thinking about Pakistani Eid, I love how much Pakistani-Torontorians make it a point to celebrate these festivities in the best of ways. Every time I see Trudeau wishing Canadians a happy Eid, my love for the country grows!

My top is by a Pakistani designer called Hina Mohammad who’s done a fantastic job at embroidering this pink tunic with the perfect mix of subtle hues. I kept the embellished theme going with my bag that I grabbed from a fashion expo a few months back and also to add a pop of colour with the deep purple. I love how flared pants are back in fashion from the 90s, giving all of us an excuse to look an inch taller.

This signature Burberry scarf has been a true friend to me, it’s been with me through thick and thin and I love how it easily replaces the traditional dupatta. My heels are from Topshop (similar, similar) and they are just the perfect shade of light pink – really hard to come by to be honest. And finally, my funky framed D&G sunglasses are a must-wear for these very sunny September days. Hope they stay for longer!

Until next time – stay fashionable.

Xoxo
