DRAMA – STRUCTURED BLACK & FLOWING WHITE

written by Marina March 8, 2016

I am loving the trending fashion of lehngas/flowy skirts like any other girl! drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-1

This trend has made a mark on the Pakistani fashion industry since the past couple of years. This beautiful, ivory skirt by Adnan Pardesi has it’s simplicity which allows me to pair it each time with a different top to create a unique look. Definitely an elegant, classic piece to have in your wardrobe which could be worn years down the road. drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-2 drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-3 drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-4 drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-5

Creating an intermix from my eastern and western wear;  I tucked in a peplum top to the skirt and added an embellished, Turkish shawl to give it a fusion twist to the traditional attire. The belt kept the shawl in place and made it easier for me to dance around at the event, enhancing the waist line. The outfit is fairly easy to put together and can be modified in several ways. drama-structuredblack-flowingwhite-lehnga-skirt-fusion-adnanpardesy-aritzia-turkey-embellished-classic-6

I love this look! I’m going to my first Indian wedding next month and I may try recreate this look. What type of event did you wear this for? Also, where did you get your bent?

Hi Monica!

Thankyou! 🙂 Love to always inspire! I wore this to a friends mehndi (somewhat a Sangeet event). This is definitely an easy look to recreate. I bought the belt at a very random store in Karachi. Hope you are able to find something similar.
